Slacker

That's me. A slacker.

Working third shift is a whole different world. Actually, I rarely see the real world. At least it doesnt feel like it. I see them driving to work, 10 miles an hour over the speed limit, on my way home in the morning.

And the winter slows me down. Makes me want to sleep. It's like a black and white photo outside and all I can feel is envy for the creatures able to hibernate.

But I watch the trees. I look for clumps. Maybe wasps homes, or giant birds' nests. Leaves that won't give up yet. It's a mysterious world uncovered.

God's always doing that to us. Covering things up, for a while, a season, then uncovering it for us to rediscover.
